Which leads to the next announcement . May will be Breast Cancer Awareness Month at The Taming of the Ewe. In addition to the automatic donations from breast cancer awareness products we carry, 10% of all sales of pink yarn will go to a local breast cancer group. We are still looking for a local charity, so if you know of one, please call us at the store. 256-782-9080.

On a personal note. I've almost finished my Ty-Dy tank top. This has worked up really quick, I started it April 3 and even with tax season I am almost done.

Sorry the blog has been so quiet

Tax season is here and I don't have much time to write. Linda will be adding some content here. over the next few weeks. We are only on the fourth square of the Great American Afghan. Classes are every two weeks on Tuesday nights, Wednesday mornings and Saturdays at noon. If you want to catch up come on in and either Pat or Linda will help you. We just got another order of the books in.
For those of you who don't know, Heidi is getting married March 13 at the Methodist Church in Jacksonville. This is one of the reasons the website has not been updated lately, Heidi is our webmaster. Of course it has nothing to do with the blog not being updated. There will be no Knit Night on March 13 so we can attend the wedding. For those who have not been to the store lately, Heidi sent an invitation to all the store customers and friends.

The Store is joining the Karaoke Knit Along

SWTC is hosting a KAL (Knit Along) online for the Karaoke Mitered Square Sweater. The store will join in by having our own instore version. I'm leaning towards doing mine in Mermaid and Mermaid mix to go with a Mermaid mix Black Purl Sweater that all I have to do is the finish work on. We will probably meet one Tuesday a month and every Friday afternoon. I still have to talk with the knitters. I may even do a Kids Knit version for our more advanced children knitters.
