First, although the city is making progress the sidewalk is still missing so the missing sidewalk sale continues. For November or until the sidewalk is completed which ever comes first, all magazines are 15% off. This includes the Berocco and other pattern booklets next to the cash register.

New yarn is here.
Rustic from Cascade yarn is a wool and linen blend that has to be seen and touched, but here is a teaser.

We also got Knit One, Crochet Too Paintbox and a new color of PJ's in greens and blues.

For those who have been waiting for the Adult Surprise Jacket class, it is finally on the schedule.

Adult Surprise Jacket
The two week class will start November 15 at 2pm with the second class on November 22 at the same time. The $20 fee will include the pattern. you will need to measurea sweater that fits the way you want the jacket to fit before coming (or bring the sweater with you to measure the day of the first class). To measure lay the sweater flat and measure the width at the bustline. This pattern will be altered to fit any size and any yarn. Students need to know how to knit- no purling required. Increases, decreases will be taught as necessary.

Socks on two circulars
Tuesday November 11 and 18 at 7pm (third class will be scheduled as necessary) $25
Designed for those who have never done socks before but also for those who want to learn to knit on two circulars. Skills needed proficient knitting and purling.

Missing Sidewalk Sale at The Taming of The Ewe

Driving by you may notice that we don't have a sidewalk right now. Don't be afraid. The city of Jacksonville is busy upgrading our sidewalk which will mean no more stairs into the building when it's done. They have provided us with a ramp which actually makes it easier to get into the building at the moment. Since the sidewalk is gone we are holding a Missing Sidewalk sale. 5% off all yarn sales over $20, 10% off all yarn sales over $50 and 15% off all yarn sales over $100. We don't know how long the sidewalk will be missing, so we are limiting the sale to the end of October or whenever the ramp comes down, whichever comes first.

Sorry the blog has been so quiet

Tax season is here and I don't have much time to write. Linda will be adding some content here. over the next few weeks. We are only on the fourth square of the Great American Afghan. Classes are every two weeks on Tuesday nights, Wednesday mornings and Saturdays at noon. If you want to catch up come on in and either Pat or Linda will help you. We just got another order of the books in.
For those of you who don't know, Heidi is getting married March 13 at the Methodist Church in Jacksonville. This is one of the reasons the website has not been updated lately, Heidi is our webmaster. Of course it has nothing to do with the blog not being updated. There will be no Knit Night on March 13 so we can attend the wedding. For those who have not been to the store lately, Heidi sent an invitation to all the store customers and friends.
